Basic Collective Bargaining Perspective: How to Bargain October 24-27, 2009 Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Crown Reef at South Beach Resorts
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #09 is looking for officers interested in attending a Collective Bargaining Seminar in October. Officers selected to attend will have expenses covered by Lodge #09 including cost of the seminar, hotel, per diem and fuel reimbursement.
Law Enforcement has never been in a better position than we are right now to see a national collective bargaining bill passed and signed into law. For that reason North Carolina FOP has partnered with South Carolina FOP to host this hands-on seminar to introduce the collective bargaining process. We hope to attract officers / members that will have an interest in serving on a bargaining team representing the men and women in the various police departments across Mecklenburg County to attend this seminar. This seminar is open to any officer within Mecklenburg County that has:
- A current Active Membership to NC FOP - Full-time employment by any law enforcement agency within Mecklenburg County: municipal, county, state, or federal - A desire to learn the Collective Bargaining process and may be willing to serve at a future date on a FOP Bargaining team - Availability for this training, October 23-28, 2009
Charlotte-Mecklenburg FOP Lodge #09 wants to send the best possible officers / members to this seminar. Please don’t underestimate yourself; we have many talented officers within our law enforcement community. If you have the desire to learn how this process will work please respond expressing your interest in attending. FOP Lodge #09 Board of Directors will review all the names of those interested and choose the best to candidates to attend.
