Each election cycle, our Political Endorsement Committee conducts interviews with all prospective candidates seeking our Lodge’s endorsement. Candidates must be running for offices whose districts include Mecklenburg County — covering local (city and town), state, and federal races.

Our process begins once candidate filing has officially closed and all candidates for each race are confirmed. The Committee Chairperson contacts each candidate using the email provided during registration. Candidates receive a written questionnaire, followed by an invitation to schedule an in‑person interview with our committee members.

After completing all interviews, the committee reviews each candidate and submits its recommendations to the membership. Endorsements are finalized through a majority vote of our members.

We strongly encourage candidates to attend our monthly meetings to speak directly with our members. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at our lodge, located at 1201 Hawthorne Ln., Charlotte, NC.
